Suspense Narrative Story .24

Talofa Lava Everyone

For the past few months we have been working on something on the subject writing. So for this we had to read a book it is called Broken Wing. And this story is based about a grandpa and a boy they were on a tiny, little boat. So they went to a place where fog was and then the grandpa called out to the Broken Wing. So then Broken Wing came but before that when they had just entered the grandpa had said to the little boy ” It’s time you meet Broken Wing”. And then he was so excited and scared at the same time because it could be somebody so big that when he lays hands the whole city breaks but it could be something else that would be useful. And if you would like to see my work it will be down here for you to see.

Idioms .24

Talofa Lava Everyone

This week for our idioms it was week 9. And I apologise because I have not blogged about my idioms. But hey at least I am blogging about my idioms so I hope you like it and remember to subscribe. I am just joking but anyways so for this week for idioms it was about doing bad and doing good. So here are some of the things I had to match the meaning with and word in the sentence so it could make an idiom saying. If I do not make sense just comment on it and I will explain. So here are some of the words or sentences.  And that was how to do it but it was not like this it was on a slide and on this slide we had idioms for the whole term and I was a head before the actual slide I was supposed to do. If you would like to see my actual work it will be down here for you to see. I was doing the last one which was week ten so if you would like to see the whole thing then it will be down here for you to see. And I want to say happy last week of term 2 well I am saying it for tomorrow.

1. Feathers in your cap
2. Put your best foot forward
3. Go over like a lead
4. Broken hearted
5. Bed of roses

Thank you for reading my blog I hope you have a good rest of your day and remember to spread the gospel.

Multiplication in action

Talofa Lava Everyone

This week for math we did something different. So for the past few weeks we have been doing this activity around water. And then we got handed a form to do for the past ten days. And then when we had finished doing it then we had to hand it to our teacher and then she would tell us to do something. Our teacher had put up these posters of what was on the form that we got given.  When we had handed it in then she would give us a stamp and then we had to walk around the whole classroom to tick off. And then that was where the Multiplication in action comes in. After all of the stamps our teacher asks us to do something different so for that we had to make a copy of a slide that our teacher created for us. And after that we had to work out the questions and they were the posters that my teacher had put up. ANd when we had finished that we had to blog about it. So if you would like to see my work it will be down here for you to see.

Thank you for reading my blog I hope you have a good rest of your day and remember to spread the gospel.

Report Writing KPMG .24

Talofa Lava Everyone

So this week I am blogging about my visit to KMPG building. And here are some people I met and here are some foods that we ate. And also my General Statement.

General Statement : The Senior School Edmund Hillary went on a visit to a colossal building called KPMG and they were very glad to have an opportunity like this.

People that we meet from the infrastructure company :
Justine

Jolline

Abby  (Water care helper )

Cullum

Ronnie

Steph

Firstly Justine introduced herself to us so we can know that we can know about her. I knew who she was but I didn’t know her name but I had seen her before at our class events. I wanted to see the rest of the team members. And then there they came and then they introduced themselves to us. It was cool getting to know some of the members at KPMG because then I know some of the roles that they do at work. And then Justine let us do some other activities like exploring the building and then we got to eat and other activities like that. And that was all I got off from Justine. Another member of the team that I met was Steph. Steph was our tour guide and she showed us the floor where she worked. And then she took us around and then we went to the basement which is where they park their cars. She was very kind to us and she loved answering our questions.  She was very thoughtful of others around us because she liked a lot of things about her job. She wanted to show us more but then our time was running out so then we went back to the place where we all met.

When we got there we prayed for the food and then we ate the flavorsome food. It was so delicious, like some good food. I really enjoyed the food. Here are some examples of the type of food we ate. Curly fries, Sushi, Scon, Whip cream, Chicken Tenders, Fruit kebabs and condiments.

Story line – Aki Fukuoka

Talofa Lava Everyone

Today we had a visitor come and visit us. She is an illustrator and she can draw anything but with description. Today she drew a student in Room 2 and got called up so that Aki could draw her and she did that drawing perfectly it was cool because she did it so quickly. And then she did the same to the other kid but it was a boy this time because last time she drew someone it was a she and now it is a boy. And some other things that she did was that she told us some of her series that she did and she also told us some of her most famous books. And after that she explained how she illustrated her books and how many times it took her to come up with one of her characters. And I will add some pictures of her and the drawing she made so fast. I would add the picture of her but I can’t because I do not know how to add it.

I hope you liked reading my blog and I hope you have a good rest of your day and remember to spread the gospel.

Reading Response .24

Talofa Lava Everyone

This week for reading guess what another reading response. So this story is called Frogs and it is about this boy named Tane and he has to get over a plank. Which is the car graveyard which is where if you  have a car that is broken or stuff like that then it will be there. And he faces a problem he finds the most extinct animal alive and it is a frog. In this story they are extinct and that is why he was so shocked. He was so happy that he tried to go home and then he had another problem. The wood that he crossed was gone he knew that it was the mutts and the mutts are a bad group of people. And then they tied him up to a car and then he was getting so hot and then he saw the frogs. As he saw them he was smiling while watching them swim around in the water. And that was what the story about and then after we read it we had to do the reading response. If you would like to see my work it will be down here for you to see.

Thank you for reading my blog and I hope you have a good rest of your day and remember to spread the gospel.

Reading Response .24

Talofa Lava Everyone

So for reading this week we did another reading response. And it was about this story named Broken Wing it is a story about a bird called broken wing. And in this story there was a boy named Hew and he saw Broken Wing for the first time. He never knew that Broken Wing existed until now when he met Broken Wing. He was ecstatic when he saw the bird because the bird was guiding Hew’s grandpa to where all  the fish were. Hew was so amazed that the next day he went to the same place and did what the grandpa did. And then there came Broken Wing and then Hew fed the bird fish. And then after reading the story we had to do the reading response. Firstly we had to make a copy and then rename it. Secondly we had to add it to our reading folder which was in our drive. And then we had to do all of the slides that were on the reading response given to us. And then when we finished it we had to check it of the Mahi check list which is a tracking sheet to see what work we did. And that was all we did for reading and fro our reading response. If you would like to see my work it will be down here for you to see.

Thank you for reading my blog and remember to spread the gospel.

Suspense Writing Beginnings .24

Talofa Lava Everyone

So this week we started writing. So for this activity our teacher gave us a slide to do and it was based around poems and how they begin. And we have worked on it for two weeks now. We call it suspense writing we have been doing this topic about suspense writing for two weeks as I mentioned before. So it is about a story called broken wing and it is about a bird called a broken wing. So we had to make up our own beginning and this is where the suspense comes in and shines. Here I will put my work that I have accomplished and I will change the setting so you can see it. And under my suspense writing will be my mood writing and then I will compare each other to see which one I like more. My favourite one is the suspense because I added more description and it sounds better. I liked how I used more better words that describe what I was doing and how. I think that my mood writing could have a little bit more description because I have used some words but I think that it could use some  more writing. And that is what I think is better and why so thank you and I want to thank. And also there is going to be a picture that AI has generated for me so it will also be down there for you to see. And I thank AI for the picture thank you AI we all appreciate the picture that you generated. Thank you.

The enormous beach was silent that sunset. The only sound was the wind and its presence.

The waves were crashing onto the sand just like the waves crashing onto each other.

Soft clouds enfolded like a person hugging you

I can hear the laughter and giggles of my Vasa and mother from afar.

“Where are they going I want to go too ?” asked my Vasa.

This picture came from AI from a site called Adobe Firefly so I thank Firefly that you could do this for me and my class. If you would like to use it it is free so you can use it.

Thank you for reading my blog and I hope you have a good rest of your day and remember to spread the gospel.

Engineering .24

Talofa Lava Everyone

Today in the morning we did something a little bit different that we normally do. You probably know by now it is engineering we did this topic because some of the senior kids are going to this program and it is called S.T.E.A.M and this is a activity that helps kids learn more about engineering and how to become one and how it works. I was not picked to go but there will be a next time so of the students in this class go to this program. We were learning what they did because some of them have a website that they can log into and then they will have their learning intentions up there. We worked on this for quite a while and it was interesting to learn about because we get to do this activity it was an interesting thing to do. We learnt about three topics in engineering 1 Civil Engineering 2 Electrical Engineering 3 Environmental Engineering. If you would like to see my work it will be down here for you to see. I am sorry that it had to turn out like this but at least  you guys get to see it.
