Reading Response T3 .24

Ciao Everyone,

Today I will be doing a blog about my ponder and word lab for the story maze runner. If you know I have been blogging about this for many weeks. So this week we got up to chapter 20 and it took some time to get to that chapter. Our teacher has been trying to read it every chance she has to read it to us. So as I originally said I am going to talk about the things that I did for my ponder and word lab. This was the question that we had to answer.

Read the two explanations of the Changing provide below.

  • People who go through the Changing are so upset because they remember their old life and they cannot have it back.
  • People who go through the Changing are so upset because they remember their old life and it’s no better that what they have now.

Which explanation do you think is more likely true? Explain your choice.

And then down here will be my answer that I think was the appropriate thing for me to choose.

 

My Thoughts:

 

My thoughts are that the first one is relatable if I was in the maze. Because it is saying in the end it is saying that the maze is better than home. And the first one refers  in the end is saying that the maze is different and they want to go back home. And if I was in the maze then I would want to go back home because I don’t even know where I am and what the reason that I am there cause we do not know what could happen next and what happens next is probably is bad.

So the work that I will put down here is my ponder and the writing that I have done is the one that is on my previous slide which will be the last one for you to see. The first picture that is presented on the slide is the cover for the book we are reading.

The next one I will put is my word lab for this week.

As you can see this is my word lab slides. The last one that is shown is the one that we did for this week. And that was what we did for our ponder and word lab.

Maze Runner Reading Response T3 .24

So this week we  have been reading this book called maze runner. So for  this blog I have already explained the book on another blog. But for this we have read further into the book so I will explain what we have read for this week. So firstly we had to draw a griever a griever is a creature that has 2 red lights in each of its eye so it has 1 red light in one of its eyes and the other eye has another red light in it’s other eye. And when we started reading the book our teacher gave us a paper that tells us about the characters but we had to describe them from what we heard from the book and then there was another one that said there feelings about the glade. The glade is the place where they stay some of the characters in the book have stayed there for over 2 years. So I will put some of my work down here the first one will be my novel study.

For the griever we had to draw it on a piece of scrap paper so I haven’t put the photo on and I haven’t finished drawing my griever. The next thing that I will add is my word lab work I do one of these once a week.

For this activity we had to learn about similes I now what similes are and then we had to explain one of the meanings that is in the grey font and then explain what they mean. My next one is my ponder I will add another photo down here for you to see.

For this activity we had to put the most important thing to  keep us alive in the glade but we are not actually in the glade but we put what we think is best for the characters to have in the story for example having trust is the most important thing they should have for in the glade.

The Maze Runner Reading Response T3 .24

This term for term 3 our teacher has picked a book for the whole class to do reading on like activity about. And firstly we started on this activity which is our ponder and for our ponder we had  to do a whole lot of slides for our ponder which we had to do which is worse. Here is a screen shot of the first one I did for the whole week.  And my answer is the one in Black if you can’t see it my apologies because I  do not know what happened.

Also we did another activity about the maze runner and it was a word lab one. And we were learning about metaphors because some people do not know what they were and what it meant. So I will add a screen shot for you to see because I want you guys to give me feedback on how good I did and if my work is good or not. My apologies because the writing is too small and you have to zoom in.

I will also add another photo which will be my novel study. And to do this activity we had to listen to the teacher to do this because on these slides there were going to be questions which relate to the part that we had just read. So it will be down here as usually and that will be all the screen shots that I will do.

Self Assessment .24

Talofa Lava Everyone

This week we had to do a voice reading a book that we got given. Firstly we got given a book this book is the book that we had to do the activity about. It was based around Kiribati and here is a fact that I learnt today Kiribati is an island that is sinking. For this we had to do the activity and here are some things that we did What does the title tell us about the Kiribas? They are in danger, difficulty, and a huge problem What do you know about the island? They are sinking,a pacific island, and a small population. These are the first questions that we had to answer but our teacher was  doing it for us so we got a head start. The book was called Kiribas Crisis and this now explains why it was based around Kiribati. We had to record ourselves reading the first page and then we had to hear ourselves reading because if we have an issue then we would have to tick off the issue we have in reading. We ticked it off on a doc that our teacher created for us and we make a copy and then we would do what I just explained. If you would like to see my reading slides it will be down here for you to see and I know it is on a doc the one I am suppose to show you but I wanna show you my slides so it will be down here for you to see.
