Malo Ni Everyone,
This week was a very busy week for all of us but most importantly some of our year 8 students. Our teacher Whaea Lorraine took some students to the Rangatahi Festival. Then she made the rest of the year 8 join the other class ( Room 10 ). Then we got to play capture the flag.
How to play / Rules
First things first we are split into 2 teams. Then there is a line in between both teams there are also 2 bases one on one side then on the other side just like this. And in the bases are one ball and the people trying to protect their base are not allowed to step foot into their base only the opponents team.

- If you pass the line into the opponents side then the opponents could run and tag you. If tagged then you sit down but if you are playing the other version your team mates can come and revive you by tagging you and then you continue playing.
- To get a point you need to capture the ball or the flag inside of the opponents base when you’re in the base then the opponents are not able to tag you not even if they lean to try and tag you.
- If you run into the out zone then the classifies as out and you sit down and stay out or wait for a teammate to come and save you.
I will add a video clip here ⬇ ( Might be some slight changes to the game. )
This game is very fun especially when you get the hang of it. This sport contains teamwork, having a strong mindset, strategizing and much more.
