25. Tides: A Clear Explanation of Ocean Movements

Talofa Lava Everyone,

This week for literacy we had to do an explanation piece of writing about tides. Well there are many types of different things that you could write about tides for e.g. how tides are caused or how they move. In this explanation we had to make sure it was a perfect piece of writing because our teacher told us that this piece of writing could give us an example of how the topic or information could be used in our actual writing assessment. She was trying to prepare us for the writing assessment so that we could do very well in the assessment.

I created a DLO and an Explanation piece of writing about tides. If you want to know some facts about tides then click on these two links for tide information.

Link for DLO : DLO Link

Tides are a huge topic to talk about because there are many interesting facts about the tide and being able to write about tides were interesting because when writing about this I also learnt more new things when reading information about tides.

Do you like tides ?  Did you also learn something new about tides from reading my writing ? Let me know by commenting on my blog.

Thanks for taking time of your day to read my blog don’t forget to always time out of your day and spread the word of God ✝.

Pedal Safe, Stay Safe

Hello Everyone,

This week we have been learning about bike safety and how we can be affected by the dangers of not following bike safety.  To do this activity we needed to know some bike rules. Firstly we needed to know how to wear a helmet properly. To make sure that you wear a helmet safely you need to make sure that you have a helmet that fits your head or else if you chose a large size then when you ride your bike and you fall off then the helmet will just fall off your head and save its self well your head gets fractured because the ground broke your head.

We also made a DLO and you can take a look at my DLO it will be down here for you to see.

And that was all we did for our bike safety. I hope that my information can help you with how to put on your helmet the right way. Also why its important to wear helmets.

Thank you for reading my blog I hope you get good luck and remember to spread the gospel.

Fractions, Decimals & Percentages

Assalamualaikum Everyone,

This week for maths we have been learning about percentage fractions and decimals. We are continuing from last week’s work because we still need to learn some more about fractions decimals and percentages. We needed to convert decimals into fractions or fractions into decimals or fractions into decimals or fractions into percentages. It was a bit hard when you first try to understand it but when you constantly keep on doing it you are able to get the hang of it and then it becomes a piece of pie. And the name of changing percentages into fractions or the other different ways we call it convert or converting. I have created a DLO for you guys to take a look at what we have done and how we did it.

Math DLO

As you are able to see those were our main focus this week it was hard but overtime it started to warm up and it felt good to know that we are able to convert these easily.

Thank you for reading my blog I hope you have a good rest of your day / week and remember to spread the gospel ✝.

Compound Interest Math T4 .24

Namaste  Everyone,

For math this week we have been learning about compound interest and savers and spenders also percentages. So we discussed the wants and the needs and we have to explain which we think we are out of the spenders and savers. I think I am a spender because when my parents give me money I spend it on chocolate and candy and spend it all in one second. So firstly we had to do some budgeting and economics which I have already blogged about. And then we had to work in a book that used Compound Interest and something that used are you a spender or saver. So to work out compound interest is easy so you have a bit of money in the first year and then say you have 7% interest you have to take how much money you have and then times x it by the percent so if I had 100 then I had to x times them by he 7% and then you do not press the equals button because it will give you a different number. So I will put my DLO of spender and savers and compound interest down here for you to see. For the interest the percentage was 7 %. I will also put a photo of the percentages that are on  the ASB website.

Thank you for reading my blog I hope you have a good rest of your day and remember to spread the gospel.

Triangles T3 .24

Malo Everyone

This week for maths we have been learning how to identify and draw different triangles. The main ones that we have been learning about are Right, Isosceles, Equilateral and Scalene. Firstly we started off by learning some of the Triangles and then we started to draw them in our math books. We also had to measure the Triangles with some of the protractors. And then when that was finished we had to do something on our Chromebook to finish it off. But before we did that which I will explain later we had to do our DLO for our Triangles because whenever we do a math thing we have to DLO. So for this we had to go onto our Chromebook and then we went onto scratch and then we did some of the Triangles. My DLO will be down here for you to see. We also learnt a new word which was Congruent which meant Equal or Symmetrical.

Thank you for reading my blog I hope you have a good rest of your day and remember to spread the gospel.

Angles Math T3 .24

Namaste Everyone

This week we are learning about angles. We learnt some of the originals for example a right angle. Firstly we had to go onto our maths page which is in our class site. Then we had to go and find the slides that were in our maths slide when we did that we had to pick which group we think we fit in. The first one was the ones that needed help and didn’t know there shapes well enough the second one was the one that knew but they needed to have a refresher like they needed to remember how to measure shapes and the third one was the one that knew and didn’t need help. I was in the 3rd group when the teacher called us she told us to name one of the angles that we use in math. If you would like to see the work that I did it will be down here for you to see it is a Google drawing It’s a math DLO. Give me some feedback if something is wrong with it.

Thank you for reading my blog I hope you have a good rest of your day and remember to spread the gospel.

Math DLO Week 5 .24

Talofa Lava Everyone,

This week for our maths we had to do compatible pairs and for this we had to plus numbers but they had four numbers to add. Firstly to find this we had to go onto the maths page to get it then we would have to pick one or the other. I picked compatible pairs which I am here to tell you about. We had to do the first question and it was not hard but it was okay and easy. But some people could have different opinions but from my understanding it is easy. Here are some examples of what we had to do and this is the first day I am doing the second day which is done here are the examples. 280+360+140+ 20= 800 here is how I solved this I solved it like this  280+20 = 300 then I 360+140= 500 and then I added 500+ 300= 800 and then that was how I got my answer. I liked this activity it helped me realise that I can add numbers that have heaps of numbers no matter what. That was all I did for maths and here is my DLO. If you want to see it, it will be down here and you can  see what some of it is in the same words. That was all I did for maths.

Thank you for reading my blog I hope you have a good rest of your day and my apologies for how my DLO looks. But remember spread the gospel.

Long divison – Remainders .24

Assallahmualikum!

Yesterday we were doing our maths workshop about long division with remainders, it was easy to understand long division with remainders because remainders means adding with the number you can’t fit in like example. 28 ÷ 8 = 3 remainder 4 because 8 x 3 = 24 and 24 + 4 = 28, which means it 8 remainder 3 because 24 plus 4 is 28. If you get it here is three maths question you can answer in your maths book. but here is the example with three digits in Google drawing tool.

This is the example you could have a look at and understand this kind of example for you maths problems.

here are the maths question it simple and easy to answer.

1. 4) 432

2. 5)535

3. 4)824

These are the three maths question you could answer and this is the end of my blog post.

Thank you for reading my blog and I hope you have a good rest of your day and don’t forget to spread the gospel.
